When we have checked through the IRIS system, the email response from VA has been the next day usually within 24 hours. And one time we requested by email and they telephoned us back and spent some time on the phone with us. The seemed to be able to look in the file to see if things we had sent were in the file. I think the email system is better.

I was wondering if you can check your claims on line like you can with SSD? If so does anyone have the web sit?

I SSD you can get a code or password to check your progress, I'm wondering if VA has the same setup

The only way to check via computer is to send an Email using the IRIS system at www.va.gov.

You send an Email and the response is back to you usually within 5 days.

1-800-827-1000 is faster but the information may be inacurate.
