Requesting new screen for TBI?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

So i have talked about this before on different threads for different reasons.  basics.

tested positive for TBI in 06/07

went to level II screening, they said i was negative for TBI due to not being unconcious for over a minute

I dont remember any of them being of the big 3/4 that can ACTUALLY DIAGNOSE (or not) TBI.  they looked like civilian employees and not physicians at all.

I am getting my med records from the hospital to confirm who the screening was conducted under (should be within the week...)

I requested a new screen a few months back but was told since i already had level II that i couldnt get it done again (by my PCP clinic)

I feel like i should be raising the BS flag on that.

However given these two scenarios how should i proceed

1)  The Level II in 06/07 was NOT conducted by a neurologist, et al

2) The Level II was conducted or at least "certified" by a neurologist, et al

Can i just demand a new Level II screening?

Should i jsut file my claim now for TBI and force them to exmainated and evaluate me?  I dont want to because i feel like if the level II was conducted they might use that, or i should say they would, as grounds to deny.  I want to have my ducks in a row and advice on this a few of those ducks.

appreciated!
