USMC714
Hi, everyone... My dependency claim (my mother who lives with me does not work due to stage 4 cancer) was completed 04-14-16 (filed it 01/14/2014) and it still shows nothing in my AB8 letter. Is this mean most likely I will get denied? Thank you
0 Moderator broncovet Posted April 19, 2016 Moderator Share Posted April 19, 2016 85% of first time claimants get denied. This said, Allison said that dependents is a no brainer..you either are or are not a dependent. Do you provide half her support? Does she live with you? Does she have insufficient income /assets to support herself? Unless you provide the wrong answers to the above, then yes, you should get dependency. But there are always glitches. 0 USMC714
Yes, she lives with me and I pay for everything.. she cant work due to her illness and i also take care of my dad as well. He is already in my file as dependent since two years ago. Just my mom is taking forever.. I gave them her information and filled out the form where I put down I pay for her everything and no income on her.
