Ebenefits question

Why when I go to ebenefits and check my claims status.  It says gathering of evidence but it has something about Request then it goes from request 1 to 9 and rhen says no longer needed and one was sent back for clarification and then no longer needed. What's all this

So yes and no.  I have had 3 requests for clarification.  They will go back and forth their until the supervisor is satisfied the RO did their due diligence.  Or at least make it look that way.

This is the VA changing statuses. For example a request for medical records from a long ago military base hospital because what is in your C-File is incomplete. If they get the record. You get the "no longer needed" status. If another document supports that record request, they may cancel that request and you get the same status. When a decision is reached you also get that same status.

my best suggestion...don't worry about it unless you need to appeal based on the lack of a document not being list in your award/denial letter. The lack of inclusion can indicate they did not look at all the evidence and you can force them to justify that denial. It also sets up additional evidence for keeping your claim alive.
