Question

How good is Champva Insurance compared to an HMO (Physicians Plus )?

John will be next month 100%, OK that means I am elegiable for Champva Does that also Mean John is and for the two of us How much would it cost. I have Medicare A&B John will get that next Febuary 2008 is there a difference

I printed up the hand book but it doesn't talk about cost.

It cost us just about $8.000 this year for are hmo, Will champ be that expensive, or do you believe we should keep our hmo

Do we have to decide right away if we want the insurance and if we don't will we lose a chance on getting it next year.

My wife has Medicare Part A&B and ChampVA and it is better by far than what I have using Medicare with an HMO. I think that you will want to be careful but the only cost we have each year is a 50 dollar deductible and we make a 25% copay for meds. ChampVA gets good prices on the meds also.

As far as seeing Doc and procedures we no longer pay a dime as ChampVA combined with Medicare pays for everything.

Don't forget to get reimbursed back to John's effective date.
