Download Decision Letter

Question

Hi Everyone

I opened a claim for an increase on my PTSD on the 6th of April and I checked today and it was closed. I wanted to know is there a way to download my decision letter online because to have the case closed after 2 days is pretty quick and I wanted to find out the reason why.

Thanks

Unfortunately, you have to wait for the envelope.  "You can try" dowloading "letters" in ebenefits/va.gov and see if the percentage you get matches up with the letter.

If you have a representative with VBMS access, you may, repeat may, be able to see the letter.

Mostly, however, just wait for the envelope, make sure your address/phone is up to date on VA records, and that your bank information is correct.

Get a hobby.  It could be several weeks, or even several months.

After a 10 day period has passed from date of the VARO or BVA decision you have not received the actual decision letter (BBE) in the mail then you can call the VBM help number at 1-800 -827-1000 also known as the peggy number and they may send it to your email address.  They recently did this twice for me on two separate BVA decisions. Doesn't hurt to try. Might work as no harm no foul.

My comment is not legal advice as I am not a lawyer, paralegal or VSO.
