proudveteran
I am currently rated at 100% P&T back dated to 2010. My wife receives tier 3 caretaker. I am not sure if there is a difference, but if there is what is the next step in applying for aid and attendance? will they back date my pay to 2010? Are they going to try to find me incompetent? Navy04
Welcome aboard, if granted Aid and Attendance the VA will only back Retro to when you applied for it. Yes, the VA can find you incompetent, because my wife is my Caregiver on the Highest Tier and the VA along with the SSA found me incompetent. Doesn't matter to me as long as my Family is taken care of.
proudveteran
I am currently rated at 100% ptsd 0%tbi with a 30% migraine connection. 10% knee 10% spine, 10% foot. Would smc s be an option?
Navy04
I am no expert, but if I remember correctly, you have to have the Primary 100% and then another 60% condition to be granted the SMC S. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
proudveteran
Of course the Chinese checkers math system the VA uses doesn't make 30+10+10+10=60. Edited August 10, 2015 by proudveteran
