  1. Hey Ann, I be happy to review your claim for a CUE claim. Do you have the CFILE? I found one yesterday in a veteran's file that five attorney offices missed prior to me taking a look at it. Just let me know. Review is free of course and an extra pair of eyes can never hurt. Happy Holidays. Angela
  2. SCAR RATINGS ARE PRIMARILY BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF AREA THE SCAR COVERS AND IF IT IS UNSTABLE AND PAINFUL, LIMITS RANGE OF MOTION THINGS LIKE THAT. SCARS OF THE NECK AND FACE ARE LOOKED AT UNDER THE 8 CHARACTERS OF DISFIGUREMENT. A REDUCTION CAN BE DISAGREED WITH. YOU CAN KEEP THE 30% BY DISAGREEING BUT A FINAL DECISION HAS NOT BEEN RENDERED SO ITS NOT TECHNICALLY APPEALING. IF YOU DISAGREE AND THEY END UP LOWERING YOU TO THE 10% AFTER CONSIDERING YOUR DISAGREEMENT AND ANY EVIDENCE SUBMITTED OR HEARING CONDUCTED THEN YOU WOULD OWE THEM MONEY. IF THEY LOWER YOU TO THE 10% YOU CAN THEN FILE THE FORMAL APPEAL, NOTICE OF DISAGREEMENT, AND APPEAL THEIR RULING. THE OTHER OPTION IS TO LET THEM MAKE IT FINAL AND THEN MOVE STRAIGHT TO APPEALS. A. YOU DONT INCUR AN OVERPAYMENT AND B. THE MAJORITY OF FINAL DECISION PRIOR TO THE NOD FILING IS UPHELD ANYWAYS SO YOU WOULD BE IN THE APPEALS PROCESS FASTER.
  3. those Rep For vet guys are really good. Rep For Vets is their service mark. The company name is national veterans disability advocates. They are a wonderful firm and very successful with the s/c claim. They have not lost a single case yet. They treat every case equal but really some cases cannot get a hirer rating. They offered me a different way of approaching the claim and when I changed some things here and there and got a new decision they helped with my appeal and got me exactly what I wanted. They have no problems telling you exactly how it is and will not hesitate to answer any questions regarding their office process or accredidations. to the comments on the lists. they play so many commercials that they really dont need to be published on a list. You usually have to pay for things like that and they function alot on their commercials and word of mouth from their clients. but i know some friends who found them on lists. If your not a client or were turned away they just couldn't help you at the time or perhaps the rating was not going to be significant enough to get you any more compensation. Regardless if you call them and ask them why you were not made a client at that time they will be more than happy to tell you. to the one with a letter. its not one of there's VSO or just that organizations there to assist. the rep for vets is a private advocacy group that does not get paid for just being there. They get paid onyl when they win. They have a higher incentive than most VSO because of this. Yeah they get 20% but they only take cases they will be successful with and as I mentioned they haven't lost. So your right he wont be named as an SO because he is an accredited advocate.... he doesn't work at the VA or those VSO where you would find an SO. Want anymore info be happy to share. they are a wonderful company and the ones who seem to vent about them on here probably didn't have a chance in hell on getting an increase. Really 10% for hearing loss is it fellas unless your using sign language.
