    Pc Claim

Yes, It did contain the statement. I completed the C&P but have not heard the results. I expect I will be reduced in Sep. or Oct. and rated on residuales. rick
  2. I thought a timeline might help somone in a similar situation: 04/11 Prostate cancer surgery 09/11 Started Radiation treatments 11/11 Filed VA claim 01/12 Completed radiation 07/12 Contacted Congresswoman 08/02 Rated @ 100% eff. 12/11 08/14 Retro hit bank DD 08/14 C&P completed Lots of IRIS checks in between & several letters from VA regarding backlog. Good luck to all and thank you for your service and your help along the way! Rick
  3. Thank you for your reply. I'm wondering if at the C&P they will have a copy of my latest PSA test or will they just ask me what the results were? They will need to make a decision if I am to continue to receive the 100% or be reduced to a resudual amount. Thanks
  4. I understand I will receive a C&P 6 months after completing Prostate cancer treatment to determin residuals and to see if I'm cured. My question is: What means do they use to determin if I'm cured? Is it my latest PSA test? If it is, do they order it or do they ask me to bring it to the appointment? Just wondering if they use the PSA results, where do they get those results?? Rick
  5. Thank you for your response. I have submitted all the necessary forms with my claim including, pathology report with the DR. notes, Radiation schedule with DR. notes DD214 showing RVN, marrage license etc. So far I am doing fine but I was just not sure how long the VA would rate me. From the sounds of your response it should be from Dec 2011 the month after I filed until a C&P and at that time a determanation will be made if a reduction is in order. I have been getting regular PSA tests that look good so far. Again, Thank you fro your reply.
  6. I am boots on the ground RVN 70-71. I had prostate surgery in April 2011. After surgery I was told I needed radiation treatments because the pathology report indicated "Margins". I begin treatments in Oct. of 2011. I filed my claim with the VA in Nov. 2011 while in treatment. I completed treatment in Jan. 2012. I have not heard anything yet from the VRO other then they have received my claim and are backlogged. Does anyone have a guess as to what my compensation will be? I realize in a normal timeframe I would have received 100% from Dec. 2011 till I received a C&P to determine if I still had cancer but because of the long wait (8 months so far) I'm not sure how this will be handled? The way it's going I may not be rated for over a year or two from filing. Thanks.
