Listen Up, nothing good to say about the Reno RO. They rejected every claim i made at their office, caused me to have to go through all the appeals process. Managed to screw me out of 50% of my back pay, which almost cost me my claim. DO NOT TRUST ANY SERVICE OFFICERS CONNECTED TO VARO RENO!!!!! Finally won my 100% Service Connected, in spite of their every attempt to block or deny me. After receiving my upgrade, i promptly Retired Overseas. But Reno RO, 6 Years later, in their Bull Dog Style of Forever Chewing on the Bone, decided that i needed to have a re-exam, never mind i am out country or what it would cost me just to get there. Luckily i found out that being overseas, i could have my file sent to the Foreign Medical Program administered by the HAC. So if a Exam is really needed, they can provide someone local and will foot the bill. Been Months now and the FMP do not seem to feel i need a re-exam. So for what it is worth, If you can move your case DO IT!! They got a Good Old Boy's Club going and your not in it!!! The time and trouble you will avoid will save you Boo koo Dollar in the end, not to mention the aggravation. Not to be all negative, I do want to say that the VAMC Reno is Top Notch, Great Staff and Treatment there. Wait times and attitude not what you get most other med centers. The VAMC is the only reason i stuck it out as long as i did.
