  1. I personally would like to THANK YOU GUYS for the Encouragement and thoughts. I've been here for sometime now. Reading and understanding the system. I started out with 30% in 2010, they have been days, i felt like giving up, exhausted and drained mentally. I was awarded 80% last year this time. I fell on my knees and sobbed and cried Thanking God. I was expecting 100%. I'm gracious and thankful for what was given to me, i get bitter at times what is truly owed to me. But i will continue to fight Thank you to ALL Semperfi Mel

  4. Yes i did .... Sandman. Thank you for the encouragement.
  5. Yes, I applied for NOD and TDIU in March 2014.
  6. My last day employed was June 27, 2008. The SSA rep said i fell within in the cutoff date. That is why he gave me the total of reto pay that i would receive. I still don't trust these guys. I'm hurting financially. Living off $1551.00 a month is very very hard. I filled for a NOD and a appeal. What i can't understand, is that the contracted VA C&P shrink said i could not be in a work place or social setting, why did the rater give me a 80% and send me paper work to fill for TDIU ...so i filled an NOD and appeal, back in March 2014 and i'm still waiting ...
  7. Hello All …. I’m seeking advice with this …SSDI. I’m a medically retired (PDRL) veteran from uncle sam misguided children. I have a service connected disability of 80% combined, 70% MDD and 10% Knee. I’ve been unemployed since 2008, I’m 59yrs old. I’ll be 60 this year. Recently I filled for social security disability on 24 November 2014. I personally went to MY local SS office to fill my claim for MDD. I submitted my VA award letter, my C&P examination and letters from my psycho therapist (MHO) I’ve been going to her since 2012 on a biweekly frequency for treatments. On 4 December 2014 I received the Function adult form and the Work history Form. I filled both of them out and sent them back including a MENTAL Residual Functional Capacity form from my psycho therapist. From reading in the forum and also the internet, this is very scary to me. You have two federal agencies The VA and SS. And each one has there rules …. I think I will get approve I’ve paid into the system (social security) for over 38 years of my life. 6.2% out of every pay check. From talking with the SS representative he said he doesn’t think I’ll have a problem. But you never know. He said I would get 16k retro back pay, and $1337.00 a month. In the meantime I’m still waiting on my appeal and my NOD from VA since March 2014. What are you guys thoughts …Thanks …
  8. Thanks...Guys!! I should know something by Monday or Tuesday in the mail.
  9. Hello All I’ve never posted to this site, I have a question. Yesterday I Logged on to ebennies and notice my claim was complete. Date of Claim Type of Claim Date Closed Updates Action 12/06/2012 Compensation 01/23/2014 I’m already receiving 30% for my knee. I’m also PDRL. I filed a claim on Dec 12, 2012. The claim was closed on Jan 23, 2014. Then I went into access my documents and it said I was awarded 80% combined. Then I went into benefit letter and it said This letter certifies that xxxx is receiving service-connected disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The current benefit paid is as follows: Gross Benefit Amount $1,525.55 Net Amount Paid $1,233.48 Effective Date December 1, 2013 Combined Evaluation 80 percent I’m lost far as the gross amount and the net amount paid. I thought VA payments are tax free? Why is there a deduction of $292.07? I haven't received my brown envelope as of yet. Thanks …..!
