  1. Thanks Buck. I don’t know how to reply! Lol
  2. new here, I just recently had an emergency room stay for 5 days at a non va facility I have private insurance also Kaiser. I have a $500.00 copay for emergency room visits. Will the VA reimburse me for the 500.00 since I am 100%? It was a bowel blockage with is related to my disability. I had reflux surgery at the VA years ago that went bad and ever since I get bowl obstruction every few years.
  3. I have a different situation. I am 90% and I am retiring from my current job (government) early due to the fact that I am unable to continue with my current position. If I retire can I apply for TDIU? since i wont be working and can no longer due my current job? I am hoping to bump up my 90% soon if they every make a decision on my appeals.
  4. what is listed above is taken from Ebenifits. That's why I can't figure it out.

  6. Hi Folks, I am new here I currently have a 90% rating I am trying to figure how some things are rated and add up. DDD L5-S1 20% on 11/13/02 DDD l5-S1 20% on 09/26/03 so does that mean I have a 40% rating or are they 2 different ratings? also I have a rating for some scars from a surgery that I received from the VA after service, abdominal surgical 10% on 07/29/09 residual scar status post adenoma resection 10% on 03/06/14 same question is this a = 20% or are they 2 separate ratings? (the first says secondary on abdominal) I currently have an increase on both pending. I was trying to use the calculator but not sure if these count as separate items or to add them together. thanks.
  7. Sorry I'm new here. I put in for a depression claim due to scaring and lower back issues, I have never seen anyone for this before but felt that I had been dealing with depression ever since I let the VA perform surgery for reflux. The surgery went bad and I ended up having a large scar from mid chest to my bellybutton. I have a crazy what they call scar tissue or rib growth that is painful. I learned later that it was my sternum that they had broke and it grew back sideways and sticks out. I also suffer from lower back issues. I went in to the exam for depression and explained that I can't rough house or pick up the kids due to these issues or if my wife or kids hug me hard it hurts. After the exam I figured the Doctor just wrote me off and I was going to get jack!, but I received 50% for Depression. How ever that only contributed to 10% overall. So my point is that you don't have to take medication or see other Doctors first. Well that's how it worked for me
