  1. UPDATE — closed out this evening. Nothing changed and ebenefits hasn’t updated so it looks like a return to the drawing board. Oh well not the first - not the last.
  2. So here is my story - opted into RAMP on May 16 - on 08/01 went to pending decision approval - On 08/09 went to pending decision. Approval. Nothing out of the ordinary. So I get back from vacation in late aug and had a letter from the VA and a letter from the DAV VA letter - my appeal was closed out because I opted into RAMP, took the VA a while but hey they sent me a letter nothing crazy. DAV letter - showed all the appeals that I had filed on ramp as either denied or continued. So now I call the DAV to find out if the letter was because the VA closed the appeal and the DAV just generated a letter, but I was assured that my RAMP appeal was denied and my claims will just stay the same. Now during this time on ebenefits have been bouncing around between phases. Now on Sept 9 I get a letter from the DAV showing one of the four issues i had appealed through RAMP was denied (it was an earlier onset date) but the letter did not say anything about my other three issues. I call the DAV and they assure me that everything was denied. Now this whole time my completion date was supposed to be 9/21. Well on 9/19 the completion dates move to 9/27 to 10/27. So I call the DAV again asking what’s going on - if they are going to deny it just get it done so I can file a new claim with all the evidence (Va test results and DBQs ) that will give me a higher rating. The DAV states that they will put a query in and find out why it hasn’t closed. I’m just done waiting. So this morning I check ebenefits and my low and behold it moves to prep for notification with a completion date of 9/22 - 9/24. I get on an hour ago and it’s back to pending decision approval with a stinking completion date of 10/27 to 11/27. I have never had a claim bounce from prep for notification back to pending decision approval. This stinking appeal has been crazy. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Anyway I just want a decision so I can move ona nd do what I need to do. I have enough evidence to win I’m just not sure what all this bouncing around is doing. Well good luck to everyone.
  3. Sorry about the post. I posted it here for two reasons 1. This is a RAMP appeal and 2. To show that they still “bifurcate” an appeal even in RAMP which I didn’t think they did in an appeal process.
  4. Just a quick question for everyone. So I am in RAMP. My RAMP appeal consists of 4 different issues, one is an earlier onset, one for an increase, and two changes they made to my disabilities that should have been additional disabilities and not changes. Anyway I get a letter from the DAV today giving me an informal decision, but it was only for the earlier onset and not the other three issue. Anyone experience this before? Usually they send a letter addressing all the issues at once. Just wondering. Thanks in advance.

  6. Hey guys not to be a buzz kill but don’t get too excited. RAMP is by far faster than any appeal I have been through one 4yr and one 5yr. I originally jumped into RAMP on May 16 sat there with no movement until 08/01 when I moved to Prep for Decision sat there until 08/10 when I moved to pending decision approval. Then on 08/31 I moved back to prep for decision. Then yesterday 09/05 went back to pending decision approaval with an estimated completion date of 09/21 to 10/16. There has been some bouncing around (hopefully a good sign) and hopefully I hear something this month. If approved it would mean back dating me clear back to 2015 and would put me at 100% so hopefully all the back and forth is computations for backpay but with any experience with the VA probably not. Hopefully we all hear something thisnlontha nd it’s all good news.
  7. Wayne tx, I sat in pending decision approval from aug 1st through aug 29 then went back to prep for decision. So I will wait. But I’m glad that it’s doing something.
  8. Well horizontalmike you are not the only one who is getting bounced, just logged into ebenefits today and still in Pending Decision Approval but the estimated completion date is now 9/26 to 11/02. Yesterday it was 8/26 to 9/16. So now we wait. I guess one good thing is that they are looking at its and moving around.
  9. I know, my past experience is that in a few weeks they make their decision and send it out update ebenefits and be done. Who knows. At least it has moved faster that a regular appeal would. My estimated dates are 8/25 — 09/16
  10. I know, my past experience is that in a few weeks they make their decision and send it out update ebenefits and be done. Who knows. At least it has moved faster that any of my past standard appeals.
  11. Have been in Pending decision approval since aug 1st. Anyone else in the same boat
  12. It looks like it has finished, you could try to go in through ebenefits and look under disabilities or you could look up the benefits verifocation letter to see if they updated anything there yet
  13. John, not sure if you are “punished” and moved to the bottom of the pile when you submit new evidence. I will say that I joined RAMP on May 16th and have been in pending decision approval since 08/01 with an estimated complaetion date of 08/25 — 09/16. I did submit additional evidence including DBQs. Not sure if it bounced me around but I should know in the next few weeks.
  14. Okay here is the run down with RAMP so far — filed for ramp on May 16th. Bounced around until aug 1st where it settled on Pending Decison Approval with an estimated completion date of 8/25 through 9/16. I went on vacation August 9 and when I returned on 8/13 there were two letter on my counter. Letter 1. From the VA stating that my appeal had been closed on May 16th when I was moved over to RAMP (took a little long to get but okay) dated aug 2 Letter 2. From DAV stating that all the things I was appealing remained the same with no change dated aug 8 ( DAV early decision letter) nothing telling me about RAMP so I waited a few days thinking that the DAV letter was because the VA sent me the letter closing out my appeals and moving me to RAMP. Well my brain got the best of me and I call the DAV - Pittsburg states that those are my RAMP denials and not from being closed out in the appeal. So I am still waiting on anything from the VA and or ebenefits to change to closed and give me an answer Although I know it doesn’t matter I had some good evidence including DBQs that show I should win the appeals. I still have this weird feeling that the DAV is wrong and their letter is coving the regular appeal closeout. I just wish they would do something because the minute they close me out and I know that I am denied I am going to file a new claim with my DBQs and win then I will be at 100 I just want to win the appeal because of backpay, but overall I just want to get my 100% and be done with this stupid back and forth
  15. Yeah I’m good ol VA fashion I actually closed my appeal in may and switched to RAMP. Amazing how it took them this long to send a letter stating that they closed my claim legacy and switched to RAMP. Then of course the DAV sends me their auto letter stated that everything remain in effect as was previous. My RAMP is currently pending decision approval with an estimated completion of 8/25 - 9/16. Which weirdly enough has been changing by one day over the last few days (went from 8-23 to 8/25). But whatever it’s moving and should be done soon. Fingers crossed. This could mean 100% finally and if all my shit was together a nice backpay
  16. If they denied everything I’m not sure how I freaking even added a DBQ. I guess we’ll see it keeps moving around but estimated completion is aug 28 to sept 19. The days keep moving around each day I look.
  17. Well it could mean anything. I got home from vacation and had a letter from VA stating that I moved over to ramp, and a letter from then DAV that said all my shit got denied. But it could be because the appeal was closed when they moved it to ramp. Who knows. Ebenefits is still showing pending decision approval. I call the DAV tomorrow and see.
  18. Oh I have been fighting with the VA since about 2003. I have been at 90% for about 2 years and its been a fight to get here. To include changing a disability completely and dropping the percentage in both legs 10% each. Had they not done that I would have been 100 since 2015. But the fight continues. I play their stupid game and keep plugging away.
  19. I have never used an attorney, and have pretty much given up on DAV. I have pretty much gathered my own evidence and prepped my own cases the three appeals that I have put in. I won 2 of them. The one thing I will say about an attorney is the longer your claim goes the more money they get in the long run. I worked at social security for a few years and I have seen how they disability claims process moves. I think opting in in the long run will be a good thing.
  20. So today went back to pending dec approval with a completion date of 8/24 to 9/4. So hopefully after bouncing back and forth it just gets completed. I think when there is movement that is at least good.
  21. No doubt. I think that in the very least RAMP will at least get one an answer faster than waiting. I have had a 7 yr appeal that I won and then I had been waiting two before opting into ramp. I entered May16 and as of today I am pending dec approval with an estimated completion of 8/24. Even if I lose at least I can file something else and move on.
  22. Well checked this morning when I looked at ebenefits— I went back to Prep for Decision with and estimated completion date of 9/6 to 10/11 So the wait continues. I hope that they do not just bounce me around ( still faster than where I was before)
  23. Yeah after years of the waiting game; moving this fast just makes you feel like they are going to deny everything just to clear the system
  24. I wish instead of trying to get done faster with everything, I wish they would get done correctly. I have pretty much been in an appeal pretty much since 2008. But have won a few appeals. Good luck. At least you got something this round.
  25. Ouch man that sucks. I put in new DBQs so we’ll see if they try to pull a fast on one me.
