  1. Well that was the quickest claim I have ever heard of. Filed on 8/14/19 and today 9/13/19 was awarded 50% for anxiety disorder bringing my combined up to 90%. I can't believe it went so smooth. I am very happy about this news.
  2. I can't remember the exact name of it but I know its not that one. Probably the same list of side effects
  3. All great replies I appreciate it. I have only spoken with my therapist about it and she says its a side effect of the meds. She asked if I wanted to change but I said i'll see how it goes because if I change to another one it could be the same with other side effects. Just figured i'd bring it up to see if anyone else has this. I'm 40 and have all the kids I'm going to have so getting her pregnant isn't a concern. Just sometimes being a stallion for hours really isn't enjoyable for everyone. Yes we have both wondered if its us but I know its not. I will talk to my PCP to talk to a urologist.
  4. So when I started anxiety/depression meds. a few months back I haven't been able to finish with my partner which i know isn't ED but I guess they call it delayed ejaculation. This is a concern and all though you wish you had this issue most of the time failing to finish isn't awesome for either person. I've tried a couple things to help the situation but clearly it has changed dramatically since meds. Is there code for this? Thank you
  5. I do not know which one they are filing for. I think the c&p person was trying to figure that out. She was looking through the book and complaining about how many different ones there were and my issues were in a couple of them. Yes I am deaf without my hearing aids and I barely manage with them. I can work which is good but i wouldn't be able to replace my job if i were to lose it because of this. I've been here almost 20 years so they pretty much work with me and know to text or email me to get things done. I'm assuming it would be like GAD, Social phobia, definitely not ptsd and she said that as well. It sure is panic attacks and social phobia completely due to my hearing impairment. we will see in the many weeks to come. Thank you all
  6. Just reminding of about eating your hat lol. I'm not sure if it was good or bad but I am happy its over. I hope its favorable as well. Thanks
  7. Sorry GeekySquid but I just got out of this C&P and it was a brutal hour and 10 minutes. This lady was asking me all kinds of things. I left there more twisted than when i got there lol. I have no idea what to expect. Just a waiting game now.
  8. OK so the same old same old haha. I have the dbq from online. I don't have anything from my doctor. I will read up on everything. Thank you for your responses
  9. So I got a call from a QTC Medical services yesterday and they are doing my C&P exam for anxiety due to my service connected hearing loss (70%). The company said the VA wanted this expedited and i'm not sure why. Nothing else has ever been fast. I put the claim in through my VSO 2 weeks ago and my appointment is next week. This same claim was denied 2 years ago when i didn't have representation and I didn't have a diagnosis or a Nexus. I have all of that now so I'm not sure if this goes back or just starts now. As you all know C&P's can suck and i'm already getting anxious and thinking about it too much. What should i expect from a anxiety/stress C&P? Thanks for any help
  10. Richard, thank you for those. I was in the middle of reading Berta's IMO write up and to get myself informed and I will read those next. Thank you
  11. I hear ya. I've been thinking about that. I'm combined at 80% right now and I looked at the depression and anxiety rating schedule and I feel i fall between 30-50 so lets say 30% it should put me in the area to get up to 90%.
  12. OK I guess money makes the world go around so it is what it is. Just caught me off guard when they gave me the diagnosis for it from the hearing loss written in plain english but now I need someone else to say"his depression and anxiety is because of his service connected hearing loss" I totally get your saying. If they work there it seems like they are trying to get you to just give up.
  13. So before I new how the system worked I filed for a bunch of things at the same time back in 2016-17 and got granted SC for tinnitus and bi-lateral hearing loss at 10% each. They denied a couple other claims and one specifically for Depression/anxiety due to my hearing loss. Since then I am now 70% for my hearing loss and I have a diagnosis of depression and anxiety from it and am on meds. for it. My DAV said I need a medical opinion stating all this. So i went to my mental health person today and asked her to give me a medical opinion and she said she couldn't and said that comp. and pen can only do that, but then told me to wait in eligibility and talk to that person. He said I need an outside provider to write me a medical opinion and it can't be a VA doctor since it was denied a couple years ago. I thought I had new evidence in myhealthyvet.com because a mental health doctor in the VA diag. me with social phobia due to my hearing loss and being on a prescription would be enough for new evidence? So now I need to search out a person who doesn't know me at all and bring them up to speed and essentially pay them to write another medical opinion? If it just hoops to be hoops then i'll jump through them but it really doesn't feel like it should be that difficult. They have all my records. Should I start looking for a civilian shrink at this point? Thanks
  14. Yes I do know about the Menieres and I have a diagnosis of it but the 30% vestibular disorder is about the same for my gait and staggering so I didn't want to go battle that at this point. If it gets worse and more common I certainly will try for that. Thank you
  15. OK thank you for the reply. I'll wait for the paperwork. I already put my intent for depression and anxiety a couple moths ago so I'll get that one going as well. Believe me I am happy with this rating. Every little bit helps. Just to make this even more neat and to give others hope. My medical records have been missing since I got out in 2000 so I have an 80% rating without any records. Its been like 12 years pushing water uphill but it is now worth it. Thanks
  16. I think this went off topic because someone said they lost consciousness but that was not the person asking the question. To answer your question i have a vestibular disorder and I get vertigo. Its pretty darn bad vertigo as well but I did not lose my license nor do i think I would have an issue pulling to side of the road safely if it were to come on when driving. I usually get it while turning quickly after spending to much time on the computer looking at excel programs and such. Yours sounds like PPV vertigo because i never got mine at night in bed. Everyone has different issues but it is your responsibility to keep yourself and others safe. I'm not a doctor and i don't know your history or your state rules but its an obvious thing if you can drive or not drive. Not just because a doctor say so. Good luck and I hope you clear up the vertigo with vestibular exercises.
  17. I applied for a increase on my bilateral hearing loss that was at 20%. They granted me today 70% for it. Very happy about that. I also have vestibular disorder at 30% and tinnitus at 10%. when I put it in the VA disability calculator with hearing loss and tinnitus on the bilateral it comes out to 86% which would give me 90% but I am granted at 80%. Should i ask my VSO to look into it or just be happy where its at? I am also going to apply for depression but I was waiting for this to be done. Either way i am very happy. Have a wonderful day.
  18. It took a little work and 4 different trips to VAMC's in 2 different states but I think its all cleared up now and I'll be getting the travel in a week. That wasn't really the issue it was making sure that the care was covered. Pretty sure I spent way more in gas and time trying to clear up the mess. They were able to put in a back consult for my 4/11 appt. and then it was all approved but it really was a pain in the butt. I think between my wife and I we talked to about 14 people to get this resolved. If it happens to anyone else, just know they can go back and add a consult if something didn't go right. They don't like to do it but they can. Cheers.
  19. Absolutely. Just a waiting game now. Thank you
  20. That exam was really weird but I think it went well. Who knows could be a crap shoot. The woman was actually really tough with asking questions about history, injuries and my military job and hearing protection. Then we started the tests in the booth. Once that was done she said that her equipment couldn't measure the speech recognition in my right ear it was so gone. She then said it was right on with the Mass Eye and Ear test I had done in April. She then got really sympathetic and started talking about me going to get a cochlear implant and why it would be good for me and stuff like that. I guess regardless all I can do is wait and see.
  21. Some Lowes like the one in Concord NH also have dedicated veteran parking spots. I think thats pretty cool as well.
  22. My bad. The first paragraph of the paperwork says "A request was sent to us by the VA to handle your compensation/pension exams" guess that's my answer haha
  23. Another question I have is, Do I have a C&P after this hearing test or is this it? I guess I'll just wait to see. For a rating increase I guess all they need is the tests.
  24. Yes I have 10% for that already. Good idea with the copy of the Mass Eye and Ear report. I will certainly bring in a copy. Yes I will take deep breathes in the aprking lot and try to be polite the whole time lol. Thanks GBArmy
