  1. Pacmanx1 , my wife and I called last night. The lady we spoke to said that the QTC firm for the C&P filled out the questionnaire on 1/21/22 and we spoke to QTC on 1/22/22 and they gave us an appointment later that day on 1/22/22 with a 3 hour window on when they would call for a phone exam. Nobody called. They then denied the claim the following week. The lady from the 800# said the only thing I can do is appeal. This sucks because I feel the VA robbed me of step 1 in this process. Now I will need to appeal and wait even longer for anything to happen. I guess its the hampster wheel. I'm pissed that QTC filled out my info without even speaking with me. Now I'm working on getting an IMO or IME because out of my 4 different doctors i have at the VA, none of them will help out with my claim and stating what needs to be stated. I guess SNAFU.
  2. So i hear from this guy because I've been asking all my providers to help with information on my claims and they keep dodging me. He asked about my claim of OSA and weght gain and I told him I never got an exam and they just denied it. In his letter he thinks it was an independent contractor who never called me and then claimed I was a "No Show" which denied it right away. Well that sucks. He thinks I can call BVA and have them open it back up. Is this normal operating procedure?
  3. Has anyone had any experience with Prestige Worldwide Medical Consulting for getting an IMO? I just want to make sure they are real before moving forward. Thank you
  4. Thanks for that info. I might need to get on that train.
  5. Just wondering how long it typically takes to get the denial letter? After being denied in under 2 weeks, It is been 4 weeks and I still don't have my official denial letter. There are zero updates on ebenefits or VA.gov. This one has been weird. I wonder if it has to do with the changes they are proposing. Any one else waiting for a letter?
  6. Harry59, I am following this discussions and your battle. I was just diag. with sleep apnea and I am getting a CPAP. At least your sleep specialist gave you a nice Nexus. Mine wouldn't. My PCP won't and now I'm waiting on my PT doctor. They all agree my SC peripheral vestibular disorder is keeping me from exercising. Also one of my meds is causing weight gain as well. I too sent in the papers Berta posted. I'm really shocked you are having difficulty with all the evidence you have. Good luck and I'll be watching for updates.
  7. Yes I work full time and have a great job that works with me on all my disabilities. Very thankful for that. I am looking for an independent doctor now.
  8. OK Thanks. I can not travel to OK for an exam. I appreciate your help
  9. El Train, Do you have prior workings with this place?
  10. I guess my title is a little wrong. I actually want a Dr. I can actually go see in person and explain all my symptoms and issues with. Thanks
  11. Hi, my VSO said I'll need to go outside the VA for my medical opinion. I've tried all my VA doctors and they denied filing anything out for a service connection case. Does anyone know of doctors in NH that will listen and help? I only have VA doctors. Puts me in a pretty tough spot. Thank you
  12. I've read articles through here about weight gain being the aggravating factor causing OSA. With myself not being able to stay on a exercise schedule due to my service connected disability with the balance and vertigo issues and also long term use of escitalopram causes weight gain I believe my service connections are ultimately causing my OSA. Its only my opinion though cause the VA doctors don't like to connect any dots if its against the VA. They just told me to contact my VSO but the VSO told me to contact them. Viscous circle.
  13. I never had a C&P exam. My wife called them because I can't use phones due to hearing loss. They said they would call on Saturday 1/22 between 6 and 7:30 if they needed too ask questions and we would have to be together for me to verify that she is my wife speaking for me. She even said the person stated that he doesn't think anyone would call but he then back peddled like he said too much when she asked how he knew that. They never called so I assumed they didn't need to exam me for anything. Fast forward a week later and the claim has been denied. That's where I stand at this point. My follow-up and to receive my C-Pap is this Friday. It just seems it got denied before they gave me a chance to get the paperwork in. Last couple claims to 2-4 months. I'm going to try for the IMO and see if I can reopen the claim after I get it. I even stated when filing the claim that is wasn't fully developed and I was getting more info. I just wanted to get the thing started. We will see I guess. Always something different every time. Keeping us on our feet I guess LOL
  14. Pacman I totally agree. I was planning on working on that this Friday with my appointment. They've never made a decision this fast so it caught me off guard. I plan to ask my sleep nurse to write in her notes and also see if my psychologist can write one as well. I hope they will. Oh and yes I am getting my CPAP this Friday. Thank you
  15. Yes it is on the old benefits stating denied in my disabilities list.
  16. So I opened a claim for OSA 2 weeks ago secondary to my vestibular disorder stating that the vertigo and balance issues make it impossible to keep and excercising routine and the weight gain I have at this point is due to the lack of excercise and the meds. I'm on for Anxiety / depression which is also service connected due to my severe hearing loss. They sent a paper saying the outsourced people will call if they need to for a physical. No calls. I checked my work in process and both were denied. I didn't even put it in for a fully developed claim yet because I have my follow up appointment with my sleep doctor this Friday. I guess they don't even let you get all your info. in before denying now. My other claims never went this way. Not sure what to do at this point. Didn't even get a chance this time. Hope you all are having a better day. Thanks
  17. I did and here's the funny part. They said the VA Pharmacy here in Manchester NH hasn't heard of any recalls so to continue until they do.
  18. The quotes by GB and Broken sound right. I really don't know anything about them. All my VA said was to try and sleep on my side for now and they gave me a wedge pillow. Guess thats all I can do at this point. Good luck Lavish
  19. Wow that not good. My sleep doctor said even if I need a Cpap they won't be able to find me one so I guess I'll just be sleeping the same for awhile. Hopefully I continue to wake up
  20. The inspire seems pretty neat. I'm nervous about the mask because i already get major anxiety going to sleep when I take my hearing aids out because I can't hear anything. I feel like i won't be able to hear in an emergency and protect myself and my family. Now I'm going to add another feature to make me more concerned. Deedub did you mean my AHI is high? I don't know how all the things match up with normal sleep. Thanks
  21. I'm surprised your claim hasn't been processed yet. The VA lost my SMR's and the years I went through hoops and dealing with my congressman and senators they still never found any. My medical records and my dentals are no where to be found. They even told me I wasn't in Panama so I showed them on my DD214 I was with 100's of pictures. They still processed all my claims. Just need to get a doctor to listen and be there to help. Sometimes thats the hardest part. Good luck and I hope they find your records.
