  1. Prior to my receiving 50% for my PTSD claim that was ongoing since 06' I took a person's advice and also filed for a depression claim while I was awaiting the decision of the VA. I filed the claim in anger that I was initially denied for PTSD, although I do suffer from extreme bouts of Depression. Are these claims two seperate scenarios, or do I drop this claim due to my winning the PTSD? Thanks, OIF 03
  2. Your the Man Pete!!! Thanks, OIF 03
  3. I was wondering if there was any way that a site administrator can change the number or percentage that I am in my personal profile. When I joined, I was none but now I am 50%. Thanks, OIF 03
  4. Meddac, Thanks for the advice and it is nice to have a newcomer that has the inside track on how things work because you worked for the other side!!! OIF 03
  5. Todd, Congrats to your 40 percent claim, I also was awarded a comp claim for PTSD (50 percent) 2 days ago. I am going to switch my focus on members of this group that are having a hard time getting what they deserve. Again, congratulations!! OIF 03
  6. Yoggie, Listen man I know how you feel, these words probably don't do much for you now but you have to keep up the fight. When I was initially denied in January I was as low as you can be but after feeling sorry for myself I mounted a strong defense so find a way to continue to fight this thing. If you give up, they win!! OIF 03
  7. Berta, The problem lies in the fact that they failed to identify that I am married with 1 dependant. I will file the necessary form (21-686c) and also send a letter to the VARO as you stated I should do. Obviously this effected my retro by almost 3,000 dollars, will I still get that in the end??? Thanks, OIF 03
  8. Pete, Thanks for the kind words and 50 percent is a preety good ruling if I am still able to work. I want to thank folks like you for all of your knowledge. OIF 03
  9. TS Snave, I will keep you posted and thanks for your response. OIF 03
  10. Thanks Meddac, I will definitely use your help on the other part of my claim. OIF 03
  11. Berta, I found out the amount they are sending me and it does not match up to what I should be getting!! any advice on who to turn to for that one?? Thanks for all you help OIF 03
  12. Thanks man, If my calculations are correct, it should be 15 months OIF 03
  13. It is now official!!! I called the 1800 comp number and the woman stated a check was being mailed out to me for my retro back pay!!! Thank you to everyone at hadit.com!!!!!! OIF 03
  14. I just left a message in success stories about my VA rep leaving me a voice mail stating that he heard that I was awarded 50% for my PTSD claim that was originally denied on 1/2008. My questions are do they contact my rep first to give him this news?? He will not be in the office until Tuesday so I can't confirm until then. My second question is I was denied for tinitus and back pain initially with the PTSD. Should I file a NOD on both or just send them additional materials like I did for the PTSD??? Lastly, should I file a NOD for a higher PTSD percentage. Thanks, OIF 03
