Thanks Morgan- Is this in addition to the 100% payment or do you have to give up one to get the other

In 2004 after 24YOS, I was medically retired for Major Depression- I have not worked since and was turned down for Voch Rehab
I was originally rated at 90% from the VA as follows
Depression- 70%
Sleep Apnea w/CPAC- 50%
Glaucoma suspect-20%
Bilateral Plantar Facilities- 10%
Tinnitus- 10%
Migraines- 10%
and 7 different areas at 0%
In Aug 2005 I filed for an increase in migraines- got the letter today- went from 10%-50%. Overall total is now 100%. Which entitles to me full concurrent receipt
Of course the migraine letter states since there is a likelihood for improvement, the assigned evaluation is not considered permanent and is subject to future exams
I was hoping they would just P/T me- I have teenagers who are ready to go to collage in a few years
My question is this- how do I get them to P/T me so I can get the kids in school- I find it very disappointing they did not do it this time- Also, one of my 0% areas in for sinuss, which I am having my second operation next week
Any comments and inputs are welcome and sorry for all the details

Berta, thanks for the info- speaking of Voch Rehab- I just got recently turned down- had to go to a voch rehab shrink- he did a 4 page report stating I was not worth a crap- I was waiting on my most current claim to complete before I send in the voch rehad denial- was holding it back incase my claim was denied and I had to ask for the IU deal
I have all my records- 2 vol thick- I guess I did it all the right way and started going to the doctor evertime I felt bad (started when I hit year 20)
I also have just filled SSDI- should of done it a long time ago but it is hard to get motivated at the 70% depression level. In fact SS called me this morning and want to send me to one of their shrinks
I have read many of your post and you give wonderful advice- In fact, this is about what I do all day and check this site every few hours for more info.
At least one good thing came out of being medically retired verses normal retirement- medical retirement is protected from USFSPA division- saved me a few bucks
Thanks for the info

I AM CURRENTLY AT 90% BASED ON THE RATING SCALE (70,50,20,10,10,10). I HAVE FILED AN INCREASE IN ONE OF MY 10% AREAS (migraines)- the CP exam and my PCM report reflect the correct wording to bring that area to 50%- This should bring me to 100% based on the rating scale.
I have not worked since Jul 04, when the military medically retired me for depression (after 24 YOS). I have not filed for IU in efforts to get my rating scale to 100 so I can get full concurrent receipt.
My question is how does one get the VA to call me 100% P&T so my childern and wife can go to school? Any suggestions and comments are welocme

Question about the state to state rates- I a person on SSDI moves to a different state than orgionally filed- will they get the new states rates or the old states rates

HOPE SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME ADVICE- I JUST FILED FOR SSDI AND ON MY APPLICATION IT STATED I DID NOT WANT MEDICARE PART B. I AND MY FAMILY ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN TRICARE PRIME ($460 A YEAR)
SHOULD I CONTACT THE SSA AND TELL THEM I DO WANT MEDICARE PART B? IS IT A BETTER INSURANSE?
SOMEONE TOLD ME I SHOULD TAKE IT AND KEEP MY TRICARE PRIME AS A SECONDARY- BUT I AM NOT SURE WHAT IS BEST NOR WHO MUCH THE MEDICARE WILL COST. CAN I ELECT THE MEDICARE AT A LATER DATE?
I AM CONFUSED- PLEASE HELP- ANY COMMENTS WELCOME
RAVEN (90% SC- HOPE TO BE 100% ANY DAY)

I was PDRL last year at 24 YOS- The VA did ended up rating me at 90% (92)- I have applied for an increase and should be at 100% soon- I want to get my 100% this way for full concurrent receipt now
1. Can a person at 100% NOT UI work
2. Can a person at 100% NOT UI Perm and Total and still work
3. I have not worked since I left- I thought of SSDI but I am not sure if I should what is the best way to approach it- get a lawyer first, etc
I know this is a lot of questions but I have been looking high an low for answers and just know found this site
Any comments welcome
Thanks

Thanks for the info- I have a report from a shrink done trough Voch Rehad a few months ago saying I am not worth rehabing- I guess I could send that in-plus I have a appointmet with a SSDI shrink this Friday (not sure if their report will help) I am just tired of messing with them but should feel luckey getting to 100%, eventhough not P/T.
I guess I could NOD it, but feel I should take the money and run for now
