Question

My Brother had an appeal yesterday for increased PTSD percentage. They said if he had the DR. fill out a form they would be willing to increase his PTSD from 50% to 70% Paper work needs to be in this week.

Question: At age 59 He had to retire due to Medical; HE his now 66 and last year lost his life insurance, so he started to work for his Nephew driving a pick up truck part time Before he got any compensation from VA, and he knew nothing about TDU. And he didn't know if he would get anything from them. because his condition has worsen, This year he can not work. Last year his Nephew said that he had scared him because of his condition. Now they are going to increase his percentage and said they would give him 70% with TDIU and P&T. He stated to recieve compensation in June of last year of 50% He worked till Nov. of last year.

How will this affect his retro pay if they go back to when he filed and the form he needs to fill out is form 21-8940 application for increased compensation based on unemployabilty. Should he put down that he worked Part Time.

Thanks for your Help

He should put that information into the # 16 Employment Section of the 21-8940 TDIU form.

The date in November of last year is the last day he was able to work and that should be the EED for TDIU-with the medical evidence they requested from the doctor.

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

Diane:

If you like Berta's answer than you are in like Flynn. TDIU is for a Veteran who can't work due to their disability. Your borther has proven that he cannot.

Good Luck

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
