sbrewer
Called the bank yesterday and we had received back pay, however, it was one month short. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks, sbrewer
HadIt.com Elder Vike17 Posted May 26, 2007 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 26, 2007 sbrewer, If the effective date of the 70% is Jan. 24, the first full payment begins in February. So the payment for February is received on March 1. The effective date of the 100% is Feb. 14, which means the payment for this starts in March. Payment for the month of March is received April 1. Whatever the effecive date is, the actual payment period starts the following month of that effective date. VA cannot pay for patial months, that's why payment period always start the following month after the effective date. Vike
sbrewer
Vike, I think it finally clicked. I get it now. Sorry, sometimes it takes a little longer to grasp things. Again, thanks for all your help... sbrewer
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted May 27, 2007 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 27, 2007 SBRewer: That is another reason that Hadit shines. We can get help to understand if we have been cheated or not. Glad that issue is clear now. Enjoy your weekend. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
