Question

Berta,

Here I am again with more questions.

I saw below where the VA may pay for emergency room visits at civilian hospitals.

OK....I'm on SS & 100% t & p for the same thing. Epilepsy & this is the only time I go to the civilian hospitals

This has been going on for some years & I see that I may be able to get reimbursed for what I have paid.

If I could I'd have the Ambulance take me to the VA but they have to go to nearest hospital to get me stabilized.

If I can get reimbursed how many years can I go back?

Again, Thank U very much for taking your time to help me with all the questions I have

GARY

Gary-reimbursement regs for non- VA care are at 38 CFR 17.52 and 17.53

the other question-

The BVA only holds jurisdiction over what is specifically on appeal- if you feel that you have evidence of additional SMC conditions ,you should send this to the VARO as a formal claim.(Unless this issue is on the appeal- but there is only a 120 day window for submissions of more evidence to the BVA- after the vet receives the transfer letter)
