Request For Va Vocational Rehab Records

I recently requested and received my C-file and other records from the VA. On the form that I cannot remember the number of now I also requested my VA Vocational rehab tests and counselor notes and my VA PGW Registry which I received nothing, I also attached a letter asking that if they were not the appropiate office to ask for these to please let me know what form I submit and whom I ask. I can go down to the VA and request my PGW Registry information but they are a pain in the tail......but I have no idea of how I get the notes from the VA Vocational rehab. Both of these will be used for a claim.

You have to get your Voc Rehab records separately. When you ask for c-file you won't get the Voc Rehab records.

Most of your Voc Rehab file will be with your VARO. The VA also keeps and administrative file and a fee service if you use it.

It wasn't easy to get copies of my VOC-Rehab ILS records.

I requested them, but it was a few years later when my C-file was being prepared to send to the BVA for appeals, that someone spotted the request and sent the records.

VAMC's tend to be somewhat better at getting record requests processed.

Spokane and Seattle records depts are very good at complying with requests in a timely manner.

Getting records is what I keep thinking an SO should be able to do for Vets.
