HadIt.com Elder Chuck75 Posted January 7, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted January 7, 2008 I was told that you file a new 21-22 or 21-22a form (organization or individual)with the VA). If the VSO has somehow caused a problem, there are usually ways to complain, depending on the VSO's organization, etc. that are somewhat unique to the particuliars of the problem and the organization. Sorry to be so general. Has anyone ever fired their VSO, if so, what is the proper route? Danang_1969
Berta
The vet org needs to receive a signed revocation from the vet and also the VA does too.(not by fax- they cant accept a faxed signature) If you feel the rep did not do their job well- send a complaint to their boss- if you get no where there -I can give you the number of the VA OGC attorney who can handle a formal complaint under 38 USC 14.633. But you will need some documentation of negligence for that. Also the VA is now requiring these reps to be recertified every 5 years (I think I mistakenly said annually in a past post) the reps dont have to take any test (I wish they had to -I would gladly volunteer to write up the test) but someone in authority from their vet org has to certify to the VA that they remain competent enough to handle claims. I posted the new reg here last week. The reg starts in January 2008 but vet orgs have a 3 month period in which to set up the re-certification process. It goes by the last name initial of the rep- One I complained about has not been certified in over 5 years- due to his last name he is due in April for this.Maybe he should start reading the VBM. GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
