calton
Travel benefits are subject to a deductible if you are not haveing a C&P examination and you are a "Sevice Disabled" veteran receiving Disability Compensation, HOWEVER if you are a "Non Service Disabled" veteran receiving a Pension you also qualify for travel benefits but you are NOT subject to a deductible. Doesn't sound fair, does it?
HadIt.com Elder Chuck75 Posted April 3, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 3, 2011 Fair, no. It does show some consideration/preference towards very low income veterans. I might also say that there are similar situations that exist between Medicaid and Medicare.
