Jim, from what you have posted it appears the rating is correct.

Hypertension controlled with meds is rated at 10 percent (based upon the predominant readings - not provided). Low dose asprin is prescribed by some docs and can be self-prescribed by many, simply to ward off future heart problems which tend to raise their ugly heads in people with hypertension. Many older folk, older than us, would not be caught dead (no pun intended) without taking their daily asprin.

Continuous medication to control is the VA Keyword here.

It is based on the predominant readings.

Systolic 160 or Diastolic 100 is 10 percent.

200 110 20

120 40

130 60

The open door is as a result of HTN can be Stroke, Anurysm, Heart disease.

The VA can also yo-yo the percentages.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

Thanks all

I thought that the rateing my be correct. There is no sense asking for an increase if he is getting the corect rateing. All that does is slow up the already slow system
