Veto proof legislation. More than 2/3 of the house and senate vote for this bill. Now that the Bill has overwhelmingly been passed, McCain and the White House are going to try and take credit for Webb's bill; this after completely opposing and threatening to Veto the the new G.I. bill.

There excuse for caving in is that education can be transfered to family members. They suppose that this will keep Military members from getting out of the service. It is a lame fall back for the poor treatment and lip service that both have given Veterans.

Forgot to add that this is not political although there is pol ital posturing going on at the expense of Vets.

Only a few of the Senators and Congressman would VOTE against Veterans, at this time, in an election year.

If someone takes offense to this Post it can be promptly removed. It is just that Vets have worked so hard for this bill, that concerns newer Vets, and the opposition needs to be pointed out. The opposition is a lonely crowd now.

Excerpt from the 'Declaration of Independence'

We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity
