Question

I was stationed at Clark AB, Philippines and was exposed to the volcanic eruption of Mt Pinatubo for 5 months breathing ash! I was wondering if any type of disability has been discovered from it? Thanks!

Thanks, Berta! I'll keep searching. :-) There has to be something.....

I was at Subic Bay when Mt Pinatubo erupted. The ash turned day into night and blanked everything just like a heavy snow storm. We were out there shoveling ash off the streets- knee deep into the ash.

Check further in to this, A few years after I got out of the Navy, I read somewhere that Kaposi sarcoma can be linked to ash exposure. Link here:

Poolguy:

Wow I did not know about sarposi which is a cancer but I do know the fine dust and pollution could play hell with breathing. I was in and around the fallout from Mt St Helens and it was nasty

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
