100% Temp Granted

Question

A quick question, to ensure I'm heading in the right direction.

I had mulitple eye surgeries over the summer, all related to SC condition. Asked for temp 100% rating, they granted that through Nov 1. I still have another surgery to go, so I am still severely vision impaired. I feel that I should be temp 100% till they get me fixed. Next surgery probably Mar/April 09'. All my documentation was through Nov 1.

Question: Do I need to just submit more info saying I still can't see? Obviously a more technical version from my doc.

I explained the entire situation in my original claim, very clear and concise, but it looks like they just read the surgery info, and none of the followup doctor visits, or my narrative.

Any feedback would be great.

Thank you....Eric

You have to have medical documentation to extend you temporary 100%. Have your doctor write a statement. Make sure you refile when you have your next operation.

Diabetic retinopathy. Complications from diabetes type I. My 2nd claim for temp 100% went in Nov 08'.

Just got the decision. Seems like they only read about 1/2 of what I sent.

Disappointing to have to start the process all over again....eric
