Request For Exam

Question

I Just received a letter that they want to call me in for a exam. However, I am now classified at 100% I.U. (No examinations will be scheduled in the future). 27 May 2008 effective Aug 2005. In addition, I am receiving SS Disability Benefits. Has anyone heard of receiving notice of a exam after receiving 100% I.U.?

Thank you for any assistance.

well you need to reply and inform them that you are no longer in NY and are now in Florida, and do they want to schedule the exam thru a Florida VA near where you are......nothing in the VA is ever P&T until you get the 20 year mark in but without proof that you have become employed or are now employable they will have a real hard time to reduce your award it's easier to reduce 100% award than it is a TDIU award

I was informed by letter Octber 28, 2008 that the Va is required to periodically re-evaluate certain disabilities.

I called the usually worthless 800 number to find out when the exam is scheduled. It is scheduled for June 2009.

I too am 100% P&T and receive SSD. I am confident that because I keep records of my regular Doctor appointments and get check-ups anually at the VAMC I will be OK. Take care. Terry
