Am I Paranoid?

Question

First, most people here were obviously in the military and we all know the mentality most have towards our own physical abilities/deficiencies. Doc asks if my knee hurts because I'm limping, "Heck no!" I say, because I don't want to miss out on the patrol. Well when I went into the C&P exams I kept reminding myself that's the LAST thing I want to do, for obvious reasons. The point I'm getting to is that every doctor I saw(except the mental health docs) seemed to play on that mentality. I'd say my shoulder hurts when I do this or that and they *always* replied with something along the lines of 'Oh, so it's not too bad then, right?'. It almost got me to immediately revert to that mentality that I had while active duty, but I caught myself and I was like 'Huh? I just said I will never be able to play catch with my kids, I have to have my wife put anything over 5 pounds on a shelf that's above my shoulders, of course it's affecting me a LOT!".

Anyone else ever see this or have my mental health conditions got the best of me? Hehe.

Greg

Yep its a problem and when you feel like crap you usually tell anyone who asks that you feel fine. Have to learn to tell VA types how you feel most of the time.
