Ken1569
JustVietnam Veterans Veterans who served in-country Vietnam between 1962 and 1975 (including those who visited Vietnam even briefly) and who have a disease that VA recognizes as being associated with exposure to Agent Orange are presumed to have been exposed to Agent Orange. Vietnam veterans with these specific diseases do not have to show that their diseases are related to their military service to get disability compensation. I have both as listed below:ischemic heart disease: ischemic (is-KEY-mic) heart disease, also called coronary artery disease or coronary heart disease, Diabetes Type 2: I have also and get 20% Disability for my Diabetes: I am treated ONLY by Veterans Hospital Oklahoma city OK. I was also tested for Diabetes type 2 in March of 2005 by QTC Medical in Oklahoma City - I had a NEW medical testing done per VA - By QTC Medical in Oklahoma City in Sept. 2009 - Nov. 3rd I got a letter saying I can only get 20% for my Diabetes caused by Agent Orange - As for my Heart Disease I was told sorry not do to Agent Orange! (NO one in my family had or has heart disease ) Even my Dr's ( At the VA ) have said it is caused by my service in Vietnam! In the pages of Agent Orange it is stated - A veteran does not have to show proof HE OR SHE -( Vietnam veterans with these specific diseases do not have to show that their diseases are related to their military service to get disability compensation.) But I am turned down with proof what I have? I am getting tired of the run a round and set backs! To me Veterans Affairs is not going by there own web side and rules and disease's listed and added to Agent Orange! I have been working for years to get Heart Diseases list on causes by Agent Orange to only be turned down on my own claim! Ken H. Oklahoma OK. Berta
sorry for the delay in getting our respone- your rep should help you prepare a Reconsideration Request- when did you get that denial? OK November-whew Ischemic heart disease due to AO is not an official reg yet- claims and being filed but are on hold until it becomes official. "Even my Dr's ( At the VA ) have said it is caused by my service in Vietnam! " The B--turds are not reading these C & Ps correctly-sounds like the illiterates who work for Buffalo VARO You need a good rep to fight this and a reconsideration request should go much faster than a NOD. There might be a template here for this type of request. GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
