Carlie and Pete,,,

One MAJOR Question.

I see that benefits are given to vets living in specific states. Now,,, Washington, DC???? I lived there and could not find anything.

What benefits are veterans receiving while living in Washington, DC?

Hopefully I made since with my last question. For instance, I live in Georgia,,, many benefits are here. But, what about Washington, DC?

Thanks Carlie,,,

Do you know of a site that gives D.C. Veterans specific benefits. For instance,,, I currently live in GA. Here's a website for GA Veterans:

http://sdvs.georgia.gov/00/channel_title/0...6692185,00.html

I use to live in Virginia and here are benefits for VA Veterans:

http://www.dvs.virginia.gov/statebenefits.htm

Here's Maryland:

http://www.mdva.state.md.us/

It goes on and on for different states. I could never find anything like this for Washington, DC.

Do you know of anything?

I do believe that, seeing as how Washington, D.C. is a Federal Government enclave and NOT a state of the United States, that the only benefits available to veterans that reside in the District of Columbia would be the now-existing Federal benefits. And no "state" benefits, 'cause DC isn't a "state".

If, for example, the DC decided to give free license plates to vet residents of DC, then that would be the Federal Government giving free license plates, to a specific "class" of people, which would be UNfair to those that live in a "state" that doesn't give free license plates to their vets.

Or, sumpthin like dat.

just sayin'
