Attending Classes On Ch31, But May Not Pass Classes

Question

I've been on ch 31, part time, for about two years.

I believe i've got "employment handicap" - 40% service connected

My voch rehab counselor had me attend the local veteran community reintegration center before approving ch31 (homeless and drug issues, largely resolved now).

I had a few personal issues this term (ended a relationship, and started abusing ADD medication), and i doubt if i'll pass my classes.

I had a similar situation with a year ago and i dropped my classes, counselor was pretty gracious about it then.

I'm concerned about my well being now, and i want to take some time off, then get back into school after a few months.

Should i drop classes now and notify VA?

How should i approach my VR counselor with this?

How will this affect my eligibility?

Thank you sincerely.

Prior to doing anything I'd talk w/your counselor about it. I'd also put in for an increase in your VA comp stating the problems you are having are a direct result of your current disabilities. jmo
