Appeal Process

I have a pending appeal befor the BVA. My SO says this may take 24 months to complete. I'm 63 now and don't know if I'll be around that long! Anyone have a hunch just how long it takes? I originally filed in 2/02, got denied on 01/06. NOD, denied. Submitted appeal. This may take years at this rate! Just waiting.....

Old, I asked for a BVA hearing in early 2004. Had the hearing in the fall of 2005. Received their decision, which increases my rating, on 5 Dec 05. Am still waiting for the VARO to send an award letter.

I'm 63 also. Quitting is not an option. I won't croak as long as I am fighting the system....
