I last worked in October 2006 and filed for social security disability benefits in September 2007. Will I be paid from October 2006 or September 2007?

If you filed for SSDI and are successful, then the payments will start when they determine them to start. Then your first Social Security disability benefits will be paid for the sixth full month after the date your disability began, because they deduct the the first five months; in case you get better. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's what they do. They also pay a month behind, so January benefits are paid in February.

Yes I told them that I hadn't work since October 2006
