Nothing with VA is automatic, in some cases if a veteran has conditions that have been going on for a certain period of time and not likely to get better then VA could award P & T without the veteran requesting or claiming it but that is not the norm but it could happen.

Check your award letter if it states that "Basic eligibility to dependents' Education is established From (00/00/00) you award date or VA enclosed a VA form 21-8760, Additional Information for Veterans with Service connected Permanent and Total disability" then you are P & T if not you can call the 800# and ask.

It can also say that no future exam are/will be scheduled.

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.
