Question

$130.00- can be ordered at 1-800-533-1637 or at www.lexisnexis.com/veterans

The flyer from Lexis states there are new issues covering-

explaination of Concurrent receipt and prohibition of dual benefits laws

New automatic POW conditions

Why the VA CANNOT require a medical linkage for Guf War undiagnosed conditions

When and when not to advise vets to report to VA examinations

How to convince the VA that the veteran engaged in combat

How to convince the VA to reject negative medical opinions regarding PTSD.

and some more goodies

such as how to get retro because the VA previously denied a claim based on aggravation of a pre-existing condition

where is that UPS man? I cant wait! :lo

I strongly advise that anyone who is having difficulty with their claim and/or vet rep should purchase this NVLSP 2005 edition. The CFR can be purchased for $57.00 but we all have it on the net for free.

The VBM is also on the ROM CD for $192.00

NVLSP writes, and rewrites the VBM.

Lexis Nexis publishes and sells it. It you buy it direct from Lexis Nexis web site you pay the full price. If you go through the NVLSP web site to order it from Lexis Nexis, you get a 10% discount through the rest of 2005.

Fight the VA as if they are the enemy; for they are!

What exactly is the NSVLP and how does it differ from the VBM's ?

Thanks,

carlie

Lexis is a huge legal publishing firm that began as a business and economics news retrieval service back whenever. In the 1970s Lexis acquired Michie Publishing out of Charlottesville VA. Michie published regional court case reporters. Since then Lexis has expanded into most areas of the law and is a competitor with WestLaw and Loislaw. In highly specialized areas of law Lexis contracts out the writing and prints and distributes product.

National Veterans Legal Services Program, NVLSP, is a 501©(3) public interest law firm in Washington DC. They are fronted mostly by The American Legion, Paralyzed Veterans of America and a few other VSOs. They have revenue streams from a lot of sources, proceeds from VBM being only one of them. NVLSP told me they usually break even on VBM. They also publish The Veterans Advocate, a law journal, and hold training seminars for attorneys interested in veterans law. NVSLP also sues VA where favorable precedent is possible for the veteran population, such as the Nehmer decision where millions in back payments for Agent Orange related disabilities were won. For their efforts, NVLSP collected over $1 million in EAJA fees from Uncle Sam.
