Nod?

Question

Trying to decide if I should send the letter NOD back on two denied claims. Does anyone know if this would effect my current awarded SC claims and bring those claims back to the start again?? Really not sure, Denied claims stated not enough new material evidence so I thought I would get that I believe within 1 year time frame according to letter. One of my denied claims was my neck which is in pain daily along with my back which is more but SC, anytime I would go to the doctor the Meds for my back helped my neck but I guess the VA did not see it that way. My neck was injured also recorded in service during airborne ops. All new to me!!

If you file a NOD within the one year time frame and those claims are awarded, then VA will change your overall rating to have the effective date of the claims that were awarded due to you filing the NODs. The claims will have the original claim date as the date you filed the claims. VA will most likely only focus on the claims that you file a NOD on.

Hope this makes sense
