Can anyone give me a good reason I should put in for SSDI. Reason I'm asking is I'm retired on a gov. disability retirement under the old system, so never had to pay SS. So what ever money I get will just be compesated by taking the same amount out of my retirement check. Hope I said that right! ha. So if I'm correct, the only benefit I would get is medicare after 2 years. Any bites on this one?
