The decision should state what the issue is deferred for.

need additional information or evidence - is all it says-will they request info from audiology at My Va or should I just get any info from VA and send it in Myself ??

It needs to come from Audiology and if you have records there supporting

a diagnosis of Tinnitus with a nexus to AD or secondary - yes you should be able to get

a copy yourself (in the ROI office) and submit it.

Did VA schedule an Audiology C&P for you?

Ok I went to records and got a copy of all info-do I just mail these to the Claims folks by themselves or do I need some kind of VA letter to accompany them ? Yes I did a C & P almost a year ago and the Doc even put on the end of the report that all the hearing damage in His opinion was Service connected . Thanks for the info !!

Shell,

I'd attach copies to a 21-4138.

BUT . . . .

If they already have it - sending another copy can slow your adjudication down.

You mention a C&P and hearing damage above - that does not address Tinnitus.

Post exactly what the C&P states - without personal stuff like your name - claim number - address.

I have a couple pages of graphs and questions I will scan and put on here but this is the C & P final opinion----------

comp and pen Medical opinion: It is My Medical opinion that he Veteran's tinnitus is the result of Military noise exposure. This is based on the following: 1.tinnitus is the byproduct of acoustic trauma, which this veteran clearly suffered in the USN; and 2. it commenced during the time of his Military service (1992).
