I have been doing IT work for 4+ years and would like to find a job as a federal employee in the same field. Will the VA be able to appoint me to a job or be of any significant help in achieving this goal?

Also your closest local Department of Labor employment office should have a job counselor who specifically helps veterans. These sites and many others on the net explain veteran preference criteria and your state should have a web site as well regarding their civil service preference criteria as well as a job data base.

Thanks Berta. I believe usajobs.com is the only place to apply for federal jobs now and I know all about veterans preference. I was more interested in knowing if anyone has experience getting a job through voc rehab.
