Question

I'm a Thailand veteran with an AO claim for exposure while working near the perimeter, I have a claim in for IHD. My question is does Nehmer apply to all veterans exposed to AO or just those that had boots on the ground.

Thanks,

Rick

Just remember they sprayed off of the back of trucks/jeeps, which became airborn from the wind blowing, which carried ao all over the bases.

of which you would of walked thru the shit every day...

I understand that in a lot of cases the reused the AO drums after "cleaning" them to store fuel and in some case cut in half to use as barbeques, on one of the Thailand websites something was mentioned about them using old AO drums to make hot water heaters at one of the Army camps. The problem as I understand it is that there will always be AO residue in the drums.

Yep, even washed clothes in them and (if you will pardon the expression) a AO drum cut in half could make two temporary shitters that got burned off when they filled up.

I have seen cases where the vet described the barrels of AO or the consistency of AO- that were incorrect.

Relying on AO barrels can be problematic -as proof of exposure.

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
