Question

13 APR 2011 I had 5 cervical vertebrae fused. They also did a laminectomy on the 5 disks (C3-C7) There was cord compression and it caused numbness pain and weakness in both arms/hands and weakness in my legs and my balance is off. I use a rollator (fancy walker). Surgical scar 5+ inches and deep.

Let me take this one at a time.

1 Fusion of vertebrae possible compensation?

2 laminectomy possible compensation?

3 all bilateral extremities possible compensation?

4 i stager when I try to walk freely and sometimes fall possible compensation?

5 scar possible compensation?

Cervical condition is presently rated at 10%

What can I possibly expect?

Man it too a real long time to type this cuz my fingers hit wrong keys oftenPlease. I read a dr's article that says in cases like mine my brain has no conception of where my fingers are in space and time.

please acknowledge and thanks

A temporary 100 percent rating for a short period of time.

Then a rating based on a re exam based solely on Range of motion. Max will be 60 percent

Nerve groups to upper extremeties will be rated separately. (You will have to fight for this one)

How does the C spine effect the legs???? is your cord pinched??

If so then they have to rate it accordingly.
