hypertension Filing New Claims.

I hope everyone has been having a great weekend. I have been in the hospital 6 times this year including an ambulance ride the other day. Of course this included a 3 day stay in ICU.

Any how, I am working on my next project now. I have been giving a bpap machine by the VA to help with my sleep apnea.

I am planning to file a claim for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome secondary to my hypertension do to the side affects pf medication-always drowsy.

However since I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea(not planning to file a claim for this as I know it will be shot down(never had it during military service) I wonder if they will discover this and shoot it down too.

I have found a statement in my claim decision in 2010 stating that veteran spoke of chronic fatigue, drowsiness and tiredness but didn't make it clear that he was seeking service connection-hint-hint. Please ask him to clarify. They never did. So, this is my next claim.

Also, a review of some doctors notes concerning a nerve conduction test state "Mild degenerative changes of the cervical spine. Emg/ncv:Evidence for lower extremity axonal neuropathy and R median neuropathy.

Assessment-man with longstanding peripheral neuropathy in the lower extremities with evidence for axonal polyneuropathy on emg/ncv and mild DJD of the cspine on MRI. Additionally, evidence for r median neuropathy suggesting r carpan tunnel.

Would they be discussing my neck or spine. If so, I can file a new claim for secondary to cervical spine for neuropathy and carpal tunnel as I am also service connected for this as well. Before, I was attempting to get this connected through the foot pain. That was not approved.

Any thoughts on this. I have since been tested and have been for with NP for both upper and lower of the body, and carpal tunnel for both hands. This was done by the VA several years ago. In Sept-I will be seeing a surgical doctor for NP through tricare. In chance of getting this service connected through the cervical spine?

These issues are really getting bad, At least I have a specialist from the Tricare for NP, r arthritis, and pulmonary,

Sleep apnea can be secondary to chronic pain and depression.

I guess I should put in a claim for chronic pain then.

The VA doesn't compensate for chronic pain. Only for the underlying condition that causes the chronic pain.

Then I shall file chronic pain for the specific SC disability as secondary. I believe that shall work better correct?

The VA claims dept put this in my c file that I failed to file or make it clear that I wanted to file. Well, I am making it clear now!!

I appreciate the clues the put in your c-file. That's why one must always request this to see what is buried in your file!!

I had also filed a claim that was disapproved for NP for the feet. My mistake.

After re-reading the MRI reports of my neck, I am now going to file NP and carpal tunnel secondary to my 0% SC approved for my neck.

I will be asking for right side upper, lower extremity right side, left side upper, and left side lower. Additionally carpal tunnel right and left hand secondary to my approved claim for the neck. I have been diagnosed for entire body with NP and carpal tunnel-just lovely!!

I already have an appeal in for my neck for increased-just have been 40%. Since I already had the complete exam reports for Np which state abnormal, and my neck which state I have bulging disc and I already had this approved as a minimum I am hoping this works.

Also a claim in for fatigue do to medication for approved SC for hypertension.
