Question

Diagnosed ptsd in axis I with a gaf score of 50 to 55. I understand that the gaf is just a picture of your current well being. Dr also marks that the claimed condition was as as not 50% or greater probability incurred in service. occupational and social impairment with occasional decrease in work efficiency. states my ptsd is moderate. I have one stresser that meets adaquate to support dIagnoses of ptsd. i have been waiting for 18 months and my claim is .still in gathering evidence phase. I am in limbo and need some kind of closure. Two tours in iraq, Mosul and Kuwait border. just wondering if anyone has my situation and has filed, what can i expect as a rating. 30, 50 60

any help appreciated

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

That is 50 / 50 so the benefit of the doubt should kick in in your case. WIth that GAF a rating up to 70 percent is possible,
