Rob m
I have a buddy who was just rated 100% SC but not P&T, he is 47 years old. The VA told him he will be re-evaluated in 2018. Can he apply for P&T prior and how is this done? I believe his conditions are static and will not improve. Thanks
Teac
He would need statements from doctors stating is his conditions are static and will not improve. before he even considers requesting T/P. To apply for T/P all he has to do is write a letter and state why he should be T/P. How do you know he is not already T/P? The VA doesn't use the term T/P like veterans do and they never put the term in award letters. If you haven't already looked at the letter, look for something like chapter 35 benefits for dependents are approved .... otherwise, submit the request....... and good luck
meghp0405
on many occassions, when VA rates a veteran 100% schedular, they will wait after the 5 year re-evaluation to determine if the award is total and permanent.
