Question

I received information on my appeal but continue to be confused. I was svc w/herniated nucleous pulposis orig @10%, raised to 20% and appealed the 20%. The letter states they have granted me svc for degenerative arthritus with a rating of 40%, as though it is a new condition yet in parenthesis it references previously under code xx for hnp. When i look @ebenefits it shows both 40% deg arth and 10% hnp. Does that mean i now have both or is it listed just because of original decision....

you really need to wait until you receive your rating decision in the mail. this e-benefit site is not always accurate. It would seem to me that if your rating was 10% and increased to 20%, now on your final rating they dropped you back to 10% ? Doesn't make sense to me. The VA would have to send you a letter stating that they are proposing to decrease your award.. Again, I would just wait until you receive your rating decision.
