Is Ebenefits Site Down

Is the ebenefits website down today? I cant get any activity at all past log in.

Yes it's down again. I called customer service and they said its going to be up by tomorrow.

The paperless system (VBMS) was also down most of the day too. So now we know if the new paperless system is offline for use, it appears the eBenefits is affected and goes down also. I suspect each time the VA does an upgrade to the VBMS paperless system, you can plan on eBenefits being offline.

I will try to warn you if we hear of a planned upgrade to VBMS, and then you guys can check and see if the eBenefits is down too. Then at least we will know for sure one of the programs eBenefits is pulling it's information from. If it turns out that eBenefts is indeed getting info from VBMS (which I have stated all along) it explains why eBenefits is so messed up. I don't remember if I told you or not, at my RO, VBMS (paperless system) has scanned less than 5% of Veteran's records into the VBMS.

However, the tracking information, is pulled from the Vetsnet program MAPD. These are suspense reasons of why or where the file is moving from one location to another or from one person to another. I suspect it will be a while before the system is accurate enough to count on ebenefits information as a dependable source.

I tried to log in to ebenefits today and I'm getting another code xxx. It says to try again at another time.

Nope, all the VA programs seemed to be working fine today. There goes the theory if we are down eBeneftis is down. Sorry.- Harleyman

I've tried to log into ebenefits for the last 20 mins. It keeps sending me to the page where you change your personal info and I cant get any further. It's the page they usually reroute you to when they are working on the website. I'm wondering if they are working on ebenefits again.
