texasvet Posted November 1, 2013 Share Posted November 1, 2013 I was diagnosed with PTSD a few months ago at my local VAMC. I was prescribed 10mg of Paxil before bed. I took one dose and had a terrible reaction to it. I woke up gasping fir air with my heart racing. I went back to the doc and he agreed that I shouldn't take it. He offered me something else and I told him that for now I'm going to try exercise and finish the CPT class that I just started. Texasvet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bobz Posted November 14, 2013 Share Posted November 14, 2013 The trazadone helps me fall asleep but still only get 4 to 5 hours a night. Taking 100mg of it. They had me on buspiron for a while but it caused more problems than it helped, shakes and added to the headaches. They put me on propranolol along with the Zoloft. I have an appointment with a neurologist. 3 bulging disc, arthritis and bone spurs in my neck may/may not be causing the issues? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
