mariorivera830
Hey all. Hope everyone made it through the 4th in tact. It's always a challenge for me and my family. I am rated for PTSD and am taking trazodone, sertraline and prazosin for it. I've been on it for about two months now. I recently stopped all meds about a week ago. The wife is keeping an eye on me for any withdrawal symptoms. I called my BHIP doc and told him that I stopped because I had developed some sort of blotchy rash under one arm and down my side. Along with that, I have also started to itch everywhere. I thought it would go away after a few days, but it only got worse. So bad that I would wake up with scratches on my face and bloody sheets from scratching my legs and feet. To the point where I had scabs on the top of my feet and down my legs from scratching in my sleep apparently. Not to mention the lightheaded Ness. Has anyone else had this happen and can help to maybe help to pinpoint which medication it might be? The 4th might have been a little more enjoyable if I weren't so jumpy. Thanks guys and gals Probably should have mentioned that all the doc recommended was to stop the meds and see my pcp or the emergency room if it gets worse. I've had the rash and itching for about 16 days now. Berta
Those side affects ( or allergy) could be from any of those meds, if not all.... If you have the Side affect printout that ,I think, comes with the meds, it might narrow these side affects down for you. trazodone, sertraline and prazosinhttp://www.drugs.com/sfx/trazodone-side-effects.htmlhttp://www.rxlist.com/desyrel-side-effects-drug-center.htmhttp://www.rxlist.com/zoloft-side-effects-drug-center.htmhttp://www.news-medical.net/drugs/APO-Prazosin.aspx Edited July 7, 2014 by Berta GRADUATE ! mariorivera830
Thanks Berta. That's a little disheartening news though. It does look like all of those meds have those side effects. I wonder which one it is or if it's like you say, all of them that's killing me. I guess it's back to the drawing board for my meds.
