Ebenifits Appeal Status Nod Regional Office Level

My NOD never showed up on ebenifits last year, so I figured the ebenifits appeal status only showed up once your appeal was perfected to the BVA. My latest appeal shows that the appeal status should show up a the RO level with the Notice Of Disagreement. In summary the Appeal status should be updated once your NOD is submitted regardless if it goes to the BVA or not. hope this helps anybody...

Ebenefits is only as good as the VA person who updates the status of specific items. They are "supposed to" keep the status updated when it changes from one phase to the next, etc..., but it does not always happen. I rarely saw a change with my last claim and the status was almost always wrong, but there are folks here that can confirm frequent updates with their claims.
